Crystal Hypolite holds the position of Chief of Staff to Laurel Mayor Keith Sydnor, where she oversees intergovernmental affairs and acts as the primary advisor. With a strong background in both the public and private sectors, Crystal brings a wealth of experience to her role. She is passionate about empowering individuals and communities to effectively use their political voices, believing this is the key to driving meaningful change.
Previously, she served as a Senior Advisor with the Housing Authority of Baltimore City, where she excelled in developing and analyzing housing policies that enhance access for underserved populations. As the Legislative Director of the Prince George's County House Delegation, she skillfully mobilizes elected officials, businesses, community leaders, and a diverse array of advocates to strengthen and improve opportunities for county residents. Earlier in her career, Crystal made her mark on Capitol Hill.
Crystal has a proven track record of uniting residents from various neighborhoods and communities by forging strategic partnerships, providing access to vital information and resources, and actively listening to constituent concerns.
